PSHE

At St. Peter’s, PSHE is at the core of what we do. Our curriculum equips children with relevant and meaningful content, which is supported through a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health. As a result of this they will become healthy, independent and responsible members of society who understand how they are developing personally and socially, and give them confidence to tackle many of the moral, social and cultural issues that are part of growing up. Weaving through the heart of our PSHE teaching, is a commitment to encouraging and promoting our Catholic Gospel Values: Humility, Compassion, Kindness, Justice, Forgiveness, Integrity, Peace and Courage.
From September 2020, the Department for Education made ‘Relationships and Health Education’ a statutory part of the curriculum. Our school has adopted the programme, Life to the Full, produced by the Catholic educational organisation, Ten Ten Resources. More information, including content can be found in these documents.
