Religious Education

Year 2 children enjoyed 'reflecting' in our Remembrance Prayer Space.

EYFS We had great fun learning how to do a Hindu dance from our Hindu visitor.

We learnt that every dance tells a story from the Hindu religion. The dances were rather tricky but all the children tried so hard. What great little dancers they are :-)

Year 3 - living the ' Last Supper' and washing each other's hands.

EYFS have been learning about the events of Holy Week

This is our First Holy Communion Prayer! :)

Y2 role play 'Doubting Thomas'

After watching an adaptation of the Apostles' reaction to the Resurrection of Christ, the children role played Doubting Thomas' reaction of "I'll believe it when I see it."

Reconciliation Saturday!

On Saturday the 7th of March, we all attended St. Peter's Church to make our First Reconciliation.

Father John and Father Brian.

Most of us went to see Fr. John and we were really nervous  at first, (Miss Jenkins too!) but once it was over and we said our Act of Contrition, we were so proud AND we even got a certificate! frown

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
This is given in accordance with the teaching of the Catholic Church. The Diocesan
approved Religious Education Programme is used throughout the School, i.e. “God Matters”,
which fits readily with the demands of the National Curriculum. There is also an
awareness of other faiths introduced throughout the School. A great deal of fundraising
is done towards the work of CAFOD.
